Semi-Permanent Make-up Lips
WHAT IS SEMI – PERMANENT MAKE – UP?
Semi-permanent makeup is also known as micro-pigmentation, cosmetic tattooing or permanent makeup. This treatment is essentially a form of tattooing however differs from a regular / body tattoo. The machinery used for semi-permanent cosmetic tattooing generally has a lower frequency as we do not want to penetrate as deep into the skin layers. Cosmetic tattooing is much more superficial than a regular / body tattoo. We use pigments and not inks. The difference between ink and pigment is that the molecules in pigment are larger and less tight than the ink molecules so pigment breaks down in the skin quicker than ink.
AM I SUITABLE FOR THE TREATMENT?
If you are 18 and above, you are eligible for this treatment. It’s a treatment that is used to provide clients with lasting cosmetic results in replacement of conventional makeup, with the added bonus of lasting substantially longer. The treatment can provide clients with natural alternatives to lips, eyes and eyebrow makeup.
If you’re tired of applying lipstick every morning and re applying during the day then it is a fantastic treatment to consider. Imagine waking up with a beautiful colour and fuller lips. It is the illusion of lipstick. Any colour lipstick / lip gloss can still be applied over the top as normal if you wish.
Before any semi-permanent make–up treatment is due to commence, an in-depth consultation is required to discuss your desired look and outcome. A shape and colour are accomplished, shown and agreed before tattooing.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?
Permanent make-up will save you valuable time every morning. Lip liner and blush will enhance your natural features so you can have a perfectly defined pout. It creates a subtle youthful enhancement to the lips. A shape can also be exaggerated depending on the client’s preference for example if you have naturally thin lips and want them to look bigger. There is a wide range of colours to choose from.
HOW LONG DO SEMI – PERMANENT LIPS LAST FOR?
Semi-permanent lips last on average 12 – 18 months before a top up is required. Annual colour boosts are highly recommended to maintain the perfect shape and colour.
Depending on if you adhere strictly to your aftercare, skin type, lifestyle, amount of sun bed / sunbathing exposure, skincare products (using retin A cosmetics or containing AHA’s, glycolic or vitamin A, microdermabrasion, chemical peels or any exfoliating treatments) and age will determine how long your semi-permanent make up will last you.
DOES IT HURT?
Semi-permanent make up is a lot less invasive than a real tattoo. The sensation is often described quite similar to rubbing a toothbrush over the skin, there is minimal pain. Topical anaesthetic is used to aid comfort.
WHAT IS THE HEALING TIME?
The healing process can be anything in between 7 – 14 days. An in depth pre and after care form will be sent to the client once Chloe receives a deposit and confirms your appointment.
HOW LONG DOES THE APPOINTMENT TAKE?
Dependent on the treatment, technique, skin type and age of the client will reflect how long the appointment will take. Please allow at least 2 hours for your appointment.
DOES MY APPOINTMENT INCLUDE A TOP UP?
Semi- permanent make up is a two-part treatment. After the first treatment the colour and shape may not hold, this is completely normal. A top up is required during a 6 – 8-week period to reinforce the colour ensuring the permanent make up lasts you the expected time.
