WHAT IS NANOBLADING?
Nanoblading is the latest technique to hit the industry offering ultra-natural looking brows. They are created by using a very fine blade to deposit pigment into the epidermis. The hair strokes look so realistic people will think they are your own.
The difference to ordinary semi-permanent make-up is that nanoblading is not done by a digital machine. It’s a handheld finer micro blading manual pen.
AM I SUITABLE FOR THE TREATMENT?
If you are 18 and above, you are eligible for this treatment. It’s a treatment that is used to provide clients with lasting cosmetic results in replacement of conventional makeup, with the added bonus of lasting substantially longer. The treatment can provide clients with natural alternatives to lips, eyes and eyebrow makeup.
Whether your wanting a full or more natural brow, each shape is created completely different and tailored exclusively to you. Before any nanoblading treatment is due to commence, an in-depth consultation is required to discuss your desired look and outcome. A shape and colour are accomplished, shown and agreed before tattooing them on.
Chloe’s clients are made up of a wide range of different ages and genders. She has worked with clients / patients who have or are currently suffering from various illnesses. Clients who have lost their hair from undergoing chemotherapy or clients who have experienced hair loss due to alopecia.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?
Nanoblading will save you valuable time every morning. 3D hair stroke brows enhance your natural features whilst framing your face. Beautifully shaped eyebrows can be tailored exactly to the client’s preference whether it be a natural or glamourous finish. Hair strokes are the illusion of hair creating an overall defined and polished look. They are the one of the most realistic type of tattooed trending eyebrow techniques up to date. If you pencil in your eyebrows daily or have over plucked them then nanoblading can create the look you have always wanted.
Ladies with already good eyebrows may want to just define and perfect them. By creating the perfect arch and making sure your eyebrows start and finish where they are supposed too, can give a whole lift to the eye area, without surgery!
HOW LONG DO NANOBLADED EYEBROWS LAST FOR?
Nanoblading eyebrows last on average 9 – 12 months before a top up is required. Annual colour boosts are highly recommended to maintain the perfect shape and colour. Depending on if you adhere strictly to your aftercare, skin type, lifestyle, amount of sun bed / sunbathing exposure, skincare products (using retin A cosmetics or containing AHA’s, glycolic or vitamin A, microdermabrasion, chemical peels or any exfoliating treatments) and age will determine how long your semi-permanent make up will last you. Also, if you tend to have a more oil-based skin type rather than a normal / dry the pigment tends to fade more quickly due to the pores being more open. Due to this, frequent top ups may be required to achieve the desired colour and shape.
DOES IT HURT?
Nanoblading is a lot less invasive than a real tattoo. This method is the finest form of eyebrow tattooing, using a pen-like device with a disposable nano blade attached to scratch and etch very thin hair strokes superficially into the skin. Topical anaesthetic is used to aid comfort.
WHAT IS THE HEALING TIME?
The healing process can be anything in between 7 – 14 days. An in depth pre and after care form will be sent to the client once Chloe receives a deposit and confirms your appointment.
HOW LONG DOES THE APPOINTMENT TAKE?
Dependent on the treatment, technique, skin type and age of the client will reflect how long the appointment will take. Please allow at least 2 hours for your appointment.
DOES MY APPOINTMENT INCLUDE A TOP UP?
Nanoblading is a two-part treatment. After the first treatment the colour and shape may not hold, this is completely normal. A top up is required during a 4 – 8-week period to reinforce the colour ensuring the permanent make up lasts you the expected time.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MICROBLADING & NANOBLADING?
Nanoblading is the same as microblading but with super fine, flexible needles. Nanoblading provides further precision and accuracy because it uses tiny needles, compacted together into an ultra-fine blade.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN NANOBLADING & SEMI – PERMANENT MAKE – UP?
Nanoblading is a tattooing technique in which a small handheld tool made of several tiny needles is used to etch pigment into the skin. Nanoblading differs from standard semi-permanent tattooing because each hair stroke is created by hand using a blade whereas semi-permanent make up eyebrow tattoos are created with a digital machine and needle. Nanoblading deposits pigment into upper region of the dermis, so it fades more rapidly than traditional tattooing techniques, which deposit pigment deeper.
Semi-permanent makeup is also known as micro-pigmentation, cosmetic tattooing or permanent makeup. This treatment is essentially a form of tattooing however differs from a regular / body tattoo. The machinery used for semi-permanent cosmetic tattooing generally has a lower frequency as we do not want to penetrate as deep into the skin layers. Cosmetic tattooing is much more superficial than a regular / body tattoo. We use pigments and not inks. The difference between ink and pigment is that the molecules in pigment are larger and less tight than the ink molecules so pigment breaks down in the skin quicker than ink.
Which one to go for is completely up to you. Chloe advises her clients to look at images of her work to help them make a decision in which technique to go for. If you are struggling to decide Chloe will guide and assist you during a consultation where she can look at your natural eyebrows, skin complexion, skin type, lifestyle, budget and desired look.
